Born in Rome, she lives in Chicago and has loved animals and photography deeply for as long as she can remember. Her art project was born from the crossing of these two elements. What MoMaz loves to photograph is how time modifies spaces, giving them a completely original form of grace. Her photographs of abandoned places, bring back the concept of imperfect, unusual harmony. In her photographs, humans are absent, but their absence has given other animals a chance to get a peaceful revenge and take back a world that was once theirs. MoMaz's places are abandoned, but never deserted. On the contrary, they are living places, where animals, once sheltered from humans, can live free. Safe at last.
In the last year MoMaz has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, in Detroit and Chicago.
The Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago, dedicated from November 2022 to January 2023, a solo exhibition "My house, your house" and her photographs have been selected to participate at Paratissima 2022, a contemporary art exhibition in Turin, Italy.
