JUERGEN NORBERT FUX

Juergen Norbert Fux was born 1975 in Anif, Salzburg. Hi lives and works there as well as in New
York, Florida and also in Tel Aviv. The centerpiece of his artistic work is portrait photography.
Printed on glass and plastic supports, on skins and furs, framed or worn by steel and stainless
steel, complex, three-dimensional photo objects are created. Each of his works bears the personal
barcode of Juergen Fux as a distinctive trademark.
The interplay of aesthetic photography and high-quality materials enables the artist to constantly
evolve creatively, to live out different fantasies and to perpetuate people and animals in a special
artistic opus.
His photo object art works invite the viewer to look behind the surface. This process is just as
exciting and complex as the finished product of his art. The person is immortalized in the image
in a unique way.
Feelings, fears and hopes, which the artist recognizes in the portrait, are reflected in an exciting
way. It is precisely this deep view in the soul of the person that makes the portraits of Juergen
Fux something special.
His animal portraits are popular all over the world. The portrayal of a beloved animal, mostly in
leather, preserves an eternal memory of the owner beyond the death of the animal family
member.
The "action" - another part of his artistic work - is used by Fux for the subject "animal and man"
and for other most pressing questions for modern today`s societies.
As much as Fux himself is part of the active Salzburger Society, he still questions the people`s
behavior, by using a critical approach through his art and in order to reflect and to improve.
