Patricia Voglreiter's practice is strongly rooted in ecological concerns which go beyond purely formal questions. Her art manifests itself in one lasting reflection on the relationship between people and the environment. In his works monochrome the material qualities of the natural materials used come to the fore such as fabric, chalk and sand. The artist's conscious decision to work in series of works with a specific material and a specific color can also be interpreted as a clear response to the visual inundation of our present. Voglreiter contrasts with the current poverty of experience - a lack of experiences significant that arises precisely from the surplus - with spaces of visual resonance, such emotional. Associations ranging from natural phenomena and plate technology to inspiration from modern architecture strengthen the physical reference system and I am fond of her series of works. In the post-war minimalist movement, the production process was forgotten due to principles such as seriality, repetition, accumulation and avoidance of the gestural application of painting. The art of Voglreiter, on the other hand, opposes rationalization, mechanization and technology through studies on color and materials, as well as the emphasis on expression arvòs approx. Her images, sculptures and objects respond to these developments with a critical reflection on the nuances and particularities that are increasingly disappearing a technological world. Incorporated in its plastic carrier material, the color in Voglreiter's work he increasingly emancipates himself: an air of liberation in which the color becomes an independent actor. But Voglreiter's art goes beyond the purely experiential aesthetics of shape and color. Rather, she opens a space for a material aesthetic experimental and an original experience that at the same time challenges and centers the vision.
This solidarity gives her monochrome structural art an urgency that it extends beyond the work and thus initiates a dialogue on sustainability and art. Towards the synthesis of monochrome, abstraction and ecological awareness, Voglreiter opens multi-level discussions that do not remain at the level of mere representation, but they arise from the oscillation between structure and material, shape and colour. The works of the Waves series made of fabric, plaster, acrylics, on wood with a frame solid wood represent Patricia's love for water. Clean water, that is becoming increasingly scarce throughout the world. Water is the basis of life for people plants, animals and for us humans. It is therefore very valuable. She realizes it how precious water is only when there isn't enough of it. With this painting sculpturally I would like to show the importance and careful use of water.
